Terms And Conditions Of Business

The following terms and conditions have been written so you, the client, is aware of the breakdown of certain processes during the web design and construction phases. They are to help keep the pace of the web design moving forwards and to allow the designer to reach a realistic timescale for websites to be completed.

oakbuttonThe concept design phase has a three stage break down. If the client is not satisfied with the first concept design, a complete redesign can be put into place using the client’s comments and feedback.

oakbuttonIf the client is not satisfied after the second concept design - minor amendments or alterations made based on the client’s comments and feedback. Any changes to be made to the graphic design and agreed structure during the construction phase - after the design concept and structure has been agreed, may result in a delay in the completion time and could result in a further charge for any extra time allocated by the designer.

oakbuttonImages that are required to complete the web design can be resized as agreed by the client and the designer. Any images the client wishes to have graphically altered would incur an extra cost. Any photo editing required to pictures can be discussed with the designer.

oakbuttonAll written content must be provided by the client. If a client wishes the designer to write any additional content, a further charge will be quoted. Content for text and images must be sent in a digital format. I cannot accept information via the post or photographs (unless on CD ROM).

oakbuttonOnce the website has been designed, constructed and the client has confirmed by email to publish the website live, the website will be deemed complete. If the client wishes to make any changes after the website has been published they will have to contact the designer to discuss.

oakbuttonWebsites at the completed stage will be tested using the most up to date versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, IExplore and sarfari.

oakbuttonOnce the web pages are complete, the client can choose to maintain the web pages themselves or for an extra cost arrange for the designer to update as and when required.

oakbuttonCompletion times for websites will always vary dependant on the designer receiving the content from the client and the client’s approval at various stages of the website construction phase.

oakbuttonThe designer will advise the client on the best host for their website and also upload the website once complete.

oakbuttonIf after 15 working days of receipt of this email, we haven’t received the completed ‘Phase 1 – Website Design’ form then this may delay the design work of your website as I will have to reallocate you to another time slot.

oakbuttonContact with the designer is preferred via email after initial telephone consultations. This is to ensure that the designer has time to complete work on schedule. Written communication is vital in web design to ensure that records are maintained and should your designer be absent, another designer can take over the work without causing too much disruption to your schedule.
