I love all this talk of the equinox, it brings me to mind folks in long white coats walking round Stonehenge, and no, I don’t mean the Klu Klux Klan, No I mean of course our ancestors, having watched that program with the scottish chap with the long hair last month it just proved once again that our ancestors knew a heck of a lot more about time and the planets than we sometimes give them credit for!
I sometimes wonder if we have just all moved too far too fast… and it is all getting a little out of our grasp, to quote the great Sim’ and Garf’ slow down you move too fast… Anyway I digress, I wanted to know about the equinox and how it will effect my world…. here’s what I have learnt….
Equinox occurs twice each year and is caused by the axis of the earth, neither pointing towards or away from the Sun…The Sun is in the same plane as the equator, Equinox the word itself comes as ever from Latin and means ‘aequus (equal) and nox (night), due to the fact that during the equinox, the night and day are approximately equal in length. The knowlege of this occurance goes back into our deepest history… thus proving again how intelligent our ancestors were!
