More lovely mellow tunes from The Bella Union dare I say it Stable , I Break Horses, Maria Lindén, hails from Sweden. Her music puts me in the mind of ‘This Mortal Coil’ and ‘Even as We Speak’ beautiful vocals and mellow music. ‘Empty Bottles’ reminds me for some reason of ‘This Mortal Coils’ version of the classic Gene Clark song ‘With Tomorrow’ which is one of my all time fav’s.
Lindén has a sultry voice, the vocals are almost whispered and beautifully complimented by effects-laden guitars and drum patterns and features remixes from the Chemical Brothers, The Fuck Buttons and Star Slinger.
A beautiful timeless album!
