Rare Stamps: Reflections on Living, Breathing, and Acting

I read the first Terence Stamp autobiographies in the 80’s and just loved his introspection then, so imagine my joy when I discovered ‘Rare Stamps’ a journey through the thoughts of Mr Stamp whilst he was making some of his brilliant movies, but also when he wasn’t, on his travels around India and the wisdom he found along the way. One of the many pearls of wisdom is this ‘All you have to do is wake up in the morning and appreciate that this moment is yours, yours alone. it won’t be repeated, you won’t pass this way again. Give it your best shot, everything you need is in the moment.’

We went to see Terence at the BFI last month and be said that those last words were given to him in preparation of Billy Budd by none other than Anthony Newley!

A great read.
