1. Standard Monthly Maintenance Services

Lucy’s Web Designs will provide the following monthly services:

  1. Regular updates of WordPress core, themes, and plugins

  2. Malware scanning and removal

  3. Firewall setup and management

  4. Brute-force attack protection

  5. Security hardening

  6. Speed optimization

  7. Database cleanup and optimization

  8. Caching setup and management

  9. Image compression

Services are performed once per month unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Optional / Additional Services (Extra Charges)

Lucy’s Web Designs can provide the following optional services for an additional fee:

3. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  1. Provide necessary access to the website, hosting, domain, and any tools required for optional services.

  2. Maintain regular backups if desired (while the Provider may assist, backups remain the Client’s responsibility).

  3. Notify the Provider of any known issues, content changes, or third-party integrations that may affect the website.

  4. Approve changes or updates if requested for optional services.

4. Limitations of Liability

  1. While Lucy’s Web Designs will take all reasonable steps to maintain the website, the Provider cannot guarantee:

    • That updates or optimisations will not cause temporary errors, plugin conflicts, or downtime

    • Continuous uptime, SEO results, or performance improvements

    • Compatibility with third-party plugins, themes, or tools

  2. The Client acknowledges that maintenance is performed monthly, and issues arising between scheduled updates may not be addressed until the next service, unless an additional service agreement is made.

  3. Emergency or rapid-response services are provided as reasonably possible and the Provider is not liable for delays beyond their control.

5. Term and Termination

  1. This Agreement begins on the Effective Date and continues on a month-to-month basis.

  2. Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice.

  3. The Client is responsible for payment for the current month in which termination occurs.

  4. Optional services may be terminated separately with 30 days’ notice; fees already invoiced remain payable.

6. Payment

7. Confidentiality
